No need to give up your favorite hobby while vacationing this summer. Here are three tips to get your quilt fix while enjoying your summer. 1— PACK A SMALL PROJECT TO TAKE WITH YOU. Do you have a small project that you have been wanting to try but seem to only have time for large projects. Vacations are a great time to work on those small portable projects such as a table runner, baby quilt, hexagons, or embroidery work. Just pack a small hand work project with you to work on in the evenings or while traveling. In the United States, you can travel by airplane with scissors as long as they are 4″ or less in length, and a few needles and thread are acceptable as well.

2—FIND A QUILT STORE. Get on your smart phone and find quilting stores in the area of your vacation. No one said you have to actually quilt, so why not plan a new project and search out new quilt shops for new fabrics? And don’t forget Lonesome Pine Quilts in your search.

3—TAKE A SUMMER QUILTING CLASS. Is there a new technique in quilting you have never tried? Why not sign up for a summer class and learn a new technique. Check out the list of summer classes posted throughout the summer at lonesomepinequilts.com or on our blog and Facebook page.

Enjoy your vacation this summer and enjoy your quilting hobby at the same time.
